Introduction

The AAP (Accelerated Action Plan for Reduction of Stunting and Malnutrition in Sindh), Fisheries Sector is a multisectoral program initiated through Taskforce Secretariat, Planning and Development Department, Government of Sindh to reduce malnutrition by boosting local fish production since 2017. AAP continuously contributing in maintenance of balance diet and healthy food in shape of animal protein for fisherman communities and malnourished and stunting communities in Sindh.

Objectives of the Program

• Provision of fish nutrition to stunting and malnutrition community through community fish ponds.
• Provision of fish nutrition to vulnerable/ stunted malnutrition community living around the public water areas.
• Consistent supply of fish seed to public areas/ vulnerable community through seed production unit.
• Social mobilization/ enhancement of community knowledge through implementing partner.
• Dissemination of modern aquaculture technologies to target communities/ families.
