Introduction
Breed Improvement is a crucial component of a livestock development of a country. As a regulatory and monitoring body, the role of authority is to set the standards for both the public and private sectors and develop a close relationship between public and private entities involved in breed improvement for the regulatory framework and uplifting the private sector where appropriate necessary in the public interest. It is proposed that LBSA is on the way to collaborate with its stakeholders to help the province of Sindh identify and establish its superior genetic breeds through effective breeding strategies and breed improvement with the implementation of regulations and their enforcement throughout the region. LBSA is adopting the globally coherent science-based standards for evaluating, registration, and monitoring breeding service providers, including breeders’ associations, farmers, and SPUs and other stakeholders. The coordination of regulatory standards will improve the acceptance of our genetically superior breeds globally in international markets.
